Pragmatic Play to Close Sportsbook and Bingo Products After Strategic Review

Pragmatic Play will shut down its sportsbook and bingo products as part of a strategic shift toward its strongest casino verticals. The decision also affects the company’s virtual sports category and follows an internal review of its long-term business priorities.
The supplier plans to gradually phase out these B2B products over the coming months. During the transition period, Pragmatic Play will continue supporting its partners as they move to alternative platforms.
The company said:
“We will now focus more heavily on our market-leading areas, including slots, live casino, crash games, and RNG products. These verticals have long been the main growth engine for our business and remain our primary strategic focus.”
Pragmatic Play entered the bingo segment in 2018 and launched its sportsbook offering in 2022. While both products managed to gain some presence among partners, the company has decided not to continue scaling areas where it does not hold the same leadership position as in slots and live casino.
The move also fits the supplier’s broader plans to expand its live casino operations. Pragmatic Play has been investing in new studios, product innovation, localization, and growth across regulated markets. In October 2025, the company launched a live casino studio in Bogotá, Colombia.
Live casino remains one of the company’s key growth directions, especially in Latin America and other regulated markets. By narrowing its focus, Pragmatic Play is aiming to strengthen the verticals that already bring the strongest performance and long-term potential.
