Curaçao Gaming Authority Investigates Unauthorized Portal Access

The Curaçao Gaming Authority (CGA) has launched an investigation after detecting unauthorized access to its online gaming portal.

The regulator disclosed the security incident in a statement dated September 17, 2026. After discovering the unauthorized access, the CGA and its service provider activated incident-response procedures. The service provider then started a forensic investigation.

The CGA said the unauthorized access has been contained and its source identified. However, the investigation is still examining whether any information was accessed, what data may have been involved and what consequences could result from the incident.

So far, investigators have found no indication that the CGA’s core technical infrastructure was compromised. The regulator said it is too early to determine the overall impact because of the nature of the information it holds.

Additional monitoring and security measures have been introduced while the investigation continues.

If information concerning individuals, applicants, licensees or other stakeholders was affected, the CGA said those parties will be notified directly in line with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

The regulator plans to provide further updates when appropriate but cannot disclose additional details while the investigation and involvement of relevant authorities continue.
