New PAGCOR App Will Verify Licensed Gaming Sites
The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation plans to launch an app that will help players check whether online gaming sites are licensed. The regulator expects to release the tool later this year.
PAGCOR Chairman and CEO Alejandro H. Tengco announced the project during a House Committee on Appropriations budget hearing. The app will direct users to authorised platforms that follow regulatory rules and player protection requirements.

The PAGCOR app has two main objectives: first, to curb illegal online gambling and second, to protect players.
According to Tengco, around 50% of online gaming sites accessed in the Philippines are illegal. Players using licensed platforms also have access to a formal process for resolving disputes.
The app will expand PAGCOR’s existing verification system. In 2025, the regulator launched the PAGCOR Guarantee page, which allows users to check whether an online gaming provider holds a valid licence.
PAGCOR is also working with several government agencies to take action against illegal operators and the payment channels used by unlicensed platforms.
